better visualization and functionality of 'related tasks'

I would like to be able to create dependencies between tasks at times but mostly I want to be able to see an organized list of related tasks so that when I'm working on one thing it's easier to see the details of what else needs to happen that's related to it. One example could be seeing a screen with the Task I'm on at the top and then a list of all related tasks with a view of the details (more than just the title) as well.
