making this basically a cloned ChatGPT is missing the real use case of the AI in a task manager… the ideal is in it looking at your past performance in your tasks, figuring out how long each tasks normally takes you, and understanding the demands of the tasks and providing insight into how to break down the tasks into 30 minute chunks of things it knows about you and knows you can achieve… and then plan out your to do lists around your calendar, and take feedback from you….

      In summary:

it would be cool if upbase could use AI to help you plan your day based on your past performance and data that you feed it, and daily feedback

like once it knows how fast you are at typical tasks, it can help you break down your tasks into bite sized things and constantly learn from you

and then plan your day, so you just open the app, see your day planned based on your outstanding tasks that you've prioritized

make any last minute adjustments, and then just start the timer and start knocking down the tasks in your list

Upbase is missing so many basic features. Why would you waste time on useless AI garbage? I use clickup, asana, and monday.com on a daily basis all of which claim to have "ai" features to support your work but are completely useless. Adoption rates of these features for clickup are very low.

There are many ways to integrate AI into Upbase, and we're exploring the best options to make it useful for everyone. We might send out a survey soon to find out what features you'd like to see.

Tony Pham easiest solution would be to allow Upbase users to use their own OpenAI API keys. Everyone is familiar with that process and is responsible for their AI billing/expenses. No expenses hassle for Upbase team.

    🤔

I dream that one day the documents, documentation, knowledge collected in Upbase by using and connecting my Open AI API code will become my second brain🧠

https://www.usemotion.com/ uses ai to plan the agenda. A must have seen the current ai tools going to adopt to this

Using e.g. own Open AI API, Gemini or other AI connected to Upbase you could do more and more productively.

    1)

    I don't know if you tested NotebookLM.google.com?

And something like this came to my mind.

It's a great idea to be able to mark sources on the left side that AI should use.

For example, if you could choose in Upbase:

    (screenshot)

    • Daily (i.e. analyze all notes)

    • Weekly

    • Notepad

    • Inbox

    • Docs

    • … etc.

This way you can analyze collected data using AI.

I dream of being able to draw conclusions using AI from all Daily notes.

That would be a sensible use of AI.

    2)

Another good use of AI would be working on text directly in the content of notes, documents, etc.

So that you can work directly on the text, without having to paste it into other tools (like ChatGPT), e.g.

    • Creating summaries

    • Formatting the text to make it better formulated, readable

    • Expanding the text from simple sentences to articles, etc.

    3)

Chat in such AI would play the role of additional communication.

And if you were satisfied with the finished content, you could paste it directly into any content element in Upbase.

Or maybe Upbase should connect more with Gemini API, although OpenAI should also develop.

Going more into the Google ecosystem, it integrates nicely, but there is also Microsoft.

Jack S. Great idea regarding NotebookLM!

When I used NotebookLM for the first time, I instantly thought Upbase can have something like this. Really, we are adding so many types of "resources" (tasks, categories, tags, docs, files, messages, chat, etc.) to a list/project. Drawing conclusions from all these resources will be super helpful.

      Why do you think so?❓

      🤔

Clickup, Notion, Taskade, etc. are using AI and Automation successfully.

Additional inspiration--this app uses conversations with your integrated ai coach to build goals, habits, milestones, etc. and report them as complete: https://www.summit.im/?utm_source=google-search&gclid=CjwKCAjwk8e1BhALEiwAc8MHiBuwpXxGVLc9-10rFfTkMuNWbxZ876aMohMiVgW07Q6gH9se-w2fgxoCDm4QAvD_BwE

I think this would especially be useful on the mobile app, which can benefit from a slimmed-down approach.

🔑Own OpenAI API key (…Azure, Gemini etc.)

Add the ability to connect your own API codes key from OpenAI, Azure, Gemini etc..

◾In all kinds of solutions, using your own AI code is becoming a standard.

◾This will also not burden or increase the costs of operating the Upbase infrastructure.

◾Taking care of the security and anonymity of data collected by various AIs (it is the user who decides what to use).

With Chrome extension, you can use a local LLM model (e.g. Ollama)

      🤔

This could be important for those who want to process data locally, so that the AI is not trained with the data and it does not leave the company.
