Chat messages bugs (Oct. 2025)

Chat just got an update yesterday for iOS that now supports audio playback across Upbase. (THANK YOU & PLEASE ADD AUDIO PLAYER SUPPORT FOR WEB APP AS WELL AS IN DOCS)

While testing out the new version, Chat seems to have a few bugs.

Can you remove the metadata bug of images/attachments when sending them? it’s unnecessary information that makes Chat look cluttered. For example if you send an image, it will send the image along with the metadata title (i.e [image/name.jpg] )above the attachment sent. It looks really bad and can look worse if the title of an attachment is just a complete random hash of letters. For example - “Wzhiyvajcyoe_hdyvek.png”.

Secondly, GIFs aren’t being loaded properly anymore on the web app. They’re just static and you have to click on the message to see the GIF playing. That’s awful UX. Please have it autoplay naturally in the thread without having to click the message to see a gif render.

iOS app and Web app needs better compatibility between one another.

If I send a GIF across web and iOS app, they need to be equally consistent and compatible.

If Audio player playback is added into the iOS app, then it should also be added to the Web app to coincide with one another. Please
