Clicking on a task - parent name does not take me to the parent list

Parent name is listed on each of the task but when clicking on it, it doesn't help just changing but to be able to navigate to the parents, would be of great help. Currently, for each of the related action I completed, painstakingly I have to navigate manually to the parent to add the folow up actions/tasks.
