Thank you for the suggestions. After we add the Global Search function, we will consider adding the ability to @mention ANYTHING in Tasks, Messages, Docs, Chat, Notes. So you can mention a Doc in a task description/comment, or you can mention a task in a Doc, and so on.

Tony Pham: can you confirm the doc does not need to be public? As well can you show in the document which tasks its attached to similar to people

Tony Pham Yes that sounds like a reasonable workaround. As long as renaming files also automatically updates the mentions. Thanks for your consideration!
