Daily Notes & Notepad Redundant?

Feature Request

Is it just me, or does it feel like the daily notes and notepad are redundant features?

I use the daily notes for all my notes because I like how it files notes by date. It covers 100% of what the notepad does for me. What is missing is the ability to search through my daily notes.

    I like both daily notes and notepad, but I agree with your suggestion to be able to search through the daily notes. And maybe see them in a month to month view instead of having to click on each day to find something.

    These are 2 different functionalities.

    • Daily Notes (Journal) is a daily note.

    • Notepad is unrelated to a given date, we can have something that we need constantly, for a long time.

    For me both are important. 👍

      I would even expand notepad with the ability to add more notes.

      Jack S.: Couldn't the same be achieved simply by pinning a daily note if I needed something to refer to it constantly?

      I guess I don't really see the use of the notepad since in the physical world, I label my paper notepad pages by date anyways. I guess it's just a workflow preference.

      I do like the idea of creating separate notes. I think having searchable notes trumps all though.
