Jack S. Oh hey! I wrote that request a little over two years ago. Seems like October is a common time for major uncommunicated downtime with this system. One of my bigger issues with Upbase, and why I don't depend on them for client work anymore, is the unforeseen downtime and lack of acknowledgment or resolution to these types of issues. All the great features in the world don't matter if you can't depend on a system to be up when you need it.

This is really bad! Has anybody written to the team and received any response?
Yes, this lack of communication is a problem at Upbase.
I know it's not a large team at Upbase.
But now, even an 🤖AI agent could automatically respond and provide status information to get some kind of response from the support team.

Yes, this was probably the longest Upbase outage in existence.
~18 hours
I hope the Upbase team will gather some post-mortem thoughts after this to protect themselves for the future.

Sorry for the downtime yesterday and the lack of updates. We’ll make sure to keep you in the loop if anything like this ever happens again (hopefully it doesn’t!)

Communication is especially important in the event of an emergency.
So we know what's happening.
There was no information on your social media,
And people didn't know what to do because there was no information.

Tony Pham I love your product, you know I do, but for me is not enough with a promise to do better in the future, I would really love to see a plan to revamp all the communication towards your users. I will leave here the same comment I left in Facebook.
Great news to know that everything is back to normal and appreciate the whole team effort 👏 but you really need to rethink your communication strategy. Project management is the central infrastructure for many businesses, and it is unnecessary stress to sit down for hours staring at a screen that all it says is “we are working on a technical issue, we will be back as soon as possible” (or similar). We need a status page, we need an email informing us of what’s going on with updates every 1-2 hours, we need a plan to know what can we do if that happens again, can we access to a plain text version of all our lists and tasks?
Specially when you are not communicating with your users regularly, when something like this happens, there is always the fear that you would just disappear without saying anything and let us all in the deep shit 💩
So please, take this as opportunity to rethink your communication strategy.

Aaron Blanco Tejedor: Thanks for your thoughtful comment. I completely understand your point. I’ll focus on communicating more transparently with our users and keeping everyone in the loop about what we’re working on.

Tony Pham I would love to see that become a reality, because I truly believe in Upbase. However, I’m seeing more and more people frustrated by the lack of communication—uncertain about the product’s direction and why features many users consider essential aren’t being developed.

⚠️System Outage Notification
In the future, you’ll need an effective way to communicate with users and keep them informed in case of a failure.
