Apologies for the delay. We’ve just started building the Public API. Assuming no urgent priorities shift our timeline, we expect to release it in about 6–8 weeks.

Sorry for the long wait. We have webhooks and APIs planned for the last quarter of this year. Right now, we're focusing on other critical features like custom fields, import/export, timeline view, sorting, filtering, and custom views. We appreciate your patience and understanding. Cheers,

I upvoted this, but I would like to add to this discussion that I believe Upbase is kind of young and it seems more features will be coming. So with that understanding making an API too early on might create a lot of on-going work. Adding a new feature into Upbase would mean also having to update the API And API Documentation. So for me its understandable that not rushing an API might be the best course of action. Same thing goes for integrations. Having to constantly update those would create a lot of extra work, especially for a smaller team.
I think an API will be critical to many of us, so maybe keep that in mind as Upbase is developed.

I'm sorry for the wait on webhooks and APIs. The main reason for the delay is that we're currently revamping our overall architecture to achieve 10x faster performance and offline support. This is already in progress, and we expect to release Upbase v2 within the next 6 months. We'll start working on releasing webhooks and APIs after that. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Does this mean there will be no development for 6 months?

Jack S. In the first month, we'll primarily focus on time tracking. Afterward, we'll introduce some smaller features and improvements. However, our main focus will remain on infrastructure and architecture work to enhance the overall product quality.

Absolutely agree with the need for this.
The dev team are rightly keeping the functions of the main program simple and clean. But many people will want to automate things e.g. take an action when something is moved to a particular section or status.
Tony, if you introduce webhooks, you will both increase your potential client base and retain your existing clients longer (as they make Upbase a fundamental part of a more complex workflow).
Most people I know who use task management tools have some level of automation alongside it, however small, so it seems likely you'll be excluding a big portion of your potentially addressable market until you have this facility.
Why not start simple and add webhooks for one or two items, and then build from there? It would allow you to gauge the level of interest without too much extra effort.

I'm looking forward to the webhook function to send events from Upbase to the outside and the API to be able to send information from the outside into Upbase. It's very important, please take note.

Zon: Agreed! Personally, I haven't used Upbase yet, even though I purchased the Appsumo deal. A bit bummed, thought this would already be in development.
