Standalone Calendar

Is there a way to implement a calendar that is not integrated with third parties? A calendar that can give notifications, reminders, and is NOT linked to a task? A place where I can input meetings, appointments, things to get done, etc. I prefer to keep my business calendar separately from my personal calendar. Being forced to integrate with Google or Outlook is something I want to get a way from.
